FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Troubleshooting, Policies, Party Tips, and More

What should I look for in an Inflatable (Bounce House/Moonwalk) rental company?

1. Is the company licensed and insured?

If so, ask them to provide you with a copy of their occupational license and insurance certificate. If not, know that you are putting yourself and children at risk in the event of an injury due to a product failure or incorrect setup, or damage to your property by the delivery crew.

2. Are the inflatables clean and sanitized?

Ask how often the inflatables are cleaned, and if they use a disinfectant for the surface areas, especially in the areas where little pairs of feet will bounce hundreds of times! For sanitary reasons, this should be done after every rental.

3. How do I know if the company will be on time for my child's party?

Ask about their track record for on time deliveries, whether they have any delivery guarantees, and what confirmations you will receive to assure you that your inflatable will be delivered on time.

4. Does the company deliver safe, high quality inflatables made of lead-free vinyl?

Ask them who makes the inflatable you are interested in, and if you can, take the time to do a Google search and check out the manufacturer's website. Though not foolproof, it may ensure that you are getting a safe, commercial grade inflatable from a US based company, and not a poor-quality Chinese knockoff or non-commercial inflatable.

5. How old is the inflatable I am renting?

As with all material that is exposed to the outdoor elements, inflatables will inevitably show signs of wear as they age, which will detract from the aesthetics and performance of the inflatable. The sun causes fading, vinyl can become discolored, and the units sometimes loose a little of their firmness or bounce as they age. If a company takes very good care of their inflatables with regular cleaning, they can look and perform like new for many years. Ask the company how old the inflatable is that you would like to rent. As a rule of thumb, unless you know the company well, it is advisable to rent inflatables that are less than 3-4 years old.

6. Is the company local?

Perhaps the easiest way to tell is if they have a local telephone number, such as area code 407 or 321 (and not an 800 number). There are many companies that advertise in our area who are just shell organizations. They contract their inflatable rentals to several companies in the Orlando area, and frankly, you will not know what company will actually be delivering your inflatable.

Frequently Asked Party Rental Questions

What if I lose power during my party?

If the inflatable's continuous blower stops working, for any reason, immediately evacuate everyone from on or inside the unit. The most common problem is a tripped circuit breaker. If this is the problem, simply reset the circuit breaker and continue using the inflatable. If the circuit trips again, simply try another outlet. If the circuit breaker keeps tripping, or is not the issue, please call the phone number for our operations staff found on your rental contract.

How many children can fit in the inflatable?

The number of children that can be in one of our inflatable at one time depends greatly on several factors. The size of the unit and age of the children are the two most important factors in determining how many children can safely have fun in our inflatable. As a rule of thumb, for a medium jumper (13x13), it is recommended that no more than 8 young children or 6 older children use the inflatable at the same time. For large jumpers (15x15), it is recommended that no more than 10 young children, or 8 older children occupy the inflatable at the same time. All inflatables vary with size, so we ultimately recommend following the manufacturers guidelines posted on each inflatable. Note, for safety reasons, we strongly advise against mixing older and younger children in the bounce house at the same time.

Does the rental have to be setup on grass?

Our rentals work equally well on grass, pavement, concrete, asphalt, or even indoors. Just let us know at the time of the reservation, so we can bring the correct anchoring system when we deliver your inflatable. Inflatables setup on grass are typically anchored with long steel stakes, while inflatables setup on asphalt or indoors are anchored with sandbags. In some cases, where there may be utility or water lines in the setup area (such as a front yard), sandbags may be used to anchor the inflatable.

How much power does the inflatable require?

Each inflatable typically uses one blower, which draws approximately 7-8 amps. This is roughly half of a typical 15 amp household circuit, or about 40% of a 20 amp circuit. Ideally, it is best to find an outlet where nothing else is plugged into that same electrical circuit. Many times, people assume that they have an outside outlet that nothing else is plugged into, so they should be OK. However, it is fairly common for all of your outdoor outlets to be on the same circuit as the outlets in your garage, where you may have a deep freezer or other appliances plugged in! It is best to identify a dedicated outlet/circuit in your home that is within 75 feet of the place you want to setup the inflatable, so you don't have to worry about the bounce house deflating when Grandma turns on the beaters to whip up the frosting! Generators may also be rented to avoid household electrical issues that may occur.

Does Bounce Orlando use high quality, commercial inflatables?

Yes! Unless you are an expert, it is almost impossible for the average consumer to determine the quality of an inflatable from a picture or someone's website! All of our inflatables are the safest, highest quality commercial inflatables in the industry, from such manufacturers as HEC Worldwide, EZ Inflatables, and Ninja Jump. The products incorporate the latest safety features, and are made from lead-free, flame retardant vinyl. If you are shopping around, we encourage you to ask other inflatable rental companies who their inflatables are made by!

How long is the rental for?

We find that most parties are between 4 and 6 hours, so we allow you to reserve your party rental up to 7 hrs, to ensure you have it for the entire length of your party. If your party is longer than that, please call our office to request additional time. We also offer overnight rentals and multiple day rentals for an additional charge.

How late can I keep the rental?

For the safety of our customers, we advise using an inflatable during daylight hours only. As the time of sunset varies throughout the year, so does our latest pickup time, which is reflected on our website during the order process. If your party is scheduled to go late, we sometimes have the option for an overnight rental which would be picked up the next morning. This option is not always available. Please call our office for more information.

How do I know you will be on time?

Our "On Time Guarantee" means that your rental is installed and ready to be used by the time you tell us your party starts, or it is FREE*! This is probably the biggest fear of all moms, dads, grandmas, and grandpas who rent an inflatable for their child or grandchild's special birthday or event... how do I know they will be here on time? What if they don't show up? This fear stems from bad experiences and reputations of inflatable companies, primarily associated with small businesses trying to make a few dollars on the weekend. Nonetheless, the fear is real, and along with the stress of anticipating 20 kids and parents showing up for your special party, getting the house cleaned, preparing food, etc - it can keep a party thrower awake at night! Bounce Orlando strives to alleviate this stress, by making sure the inflatable rental is something you do not have to worry about. We employ a number of means to assure you of a great, stress free rental experience. Immediately after your rental, you will be emailed a rental agreement which contains all of your rental information, so you can be certain your reservation was entered correctly. One to two days before your party, we will also give you a follow up call to reconfirm the reservation, resolve method of payment, review delivery and pickup times, address any weather related concerns, and answer any last minute questions that you may have! We then carefully plan our delivery schedules to ensure that your inflatable is delivered on or ahead of schedule. And if for some reason it's not set up before your party time, we put our money where our mouth is, and your inflatable rental will be FREE*!

*This offer is not available to gated communities--due to long entrance waits--or orders scheduled for delivery before our normal operating hours--typically 8:00am.

Why do you charge a delivery fee for some areas?

Our delivery fee is calculated based on your distance from our warehouse, and applies to customers who are outside of East Orlando (where we are located). The reason for this is to keep the prices of our inflatable as low as we can. Some companies do not charge a delivery fee because they already hide that fee in their prices. This fee goes to offset fuel and travel time costs of our crew. Note, many customers find that, even if they live far away from East Orlando, our prices including the delivery fee are still cheaper than other local companies! We encourage you to call us to see if a delivery fee applies to your area.

Why can't I come pick up the inflatable and set it up myself?

Safety is one of our top priorities. To keep you and your party guests as safe as possible, we need to ensure that the inflatable is set up to manufacturer specifications. Our crew is trained in the safe installation and operation of our units.

What form of payment do you accept? When do I pay?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, cash, and money orders. Due to some unfortunate experiences, we can no longer accept personal checks as a form of payment. A deposit will be taken at the time of the reservation with a credit card or debit card. During the reservation, our staff will ask how you would like to pay for the balance. If you advise us during the reservation that you would like to pay for the balance with your credit or debit card, we will charge your same credit/debit card on file 1-2 days prior to your rental date. If you advise us during the reservation that you would like to pay the balance at the time of the delivery, please provide payment to our delivery team in the form of cash or money order. If paying by cash, we ask that you please provide exact payment, as our delivery team does not carry cash and cannot make change. Note, payment in full must be received prior to our crew setting up the inflatable at your party location.

Do you collect Sales Tax?

Yes, sales tax will be collected and will vary depending on what county your party location is located.

Do you require a deposit?

Bounce Orlando requires a deposit of $50 for each reservation--exceptions are handled at management's discretion. This ensures that the inflatable you have your heart set on is reserved for you! This deposit can be made with a credit or debit card, either online through our website at BounceOrlando.com, or with our reservation staff. Please note: deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. For more information, see our cancellation policy below.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that no matter how hard you try to plan, life can sometimes throw a curveball at you, and you may need to cancel or postpone your party. This might happen 2-3 weeks before your party as you learn about an important business trip that you can't get out of, or it may happen the night before as you deal with a sick child. If this happens, please call us immediately to cancel or postpone! If this happens, we understand, and want you to know that you will NOT lose your deposit! It will remain on your account, and can be applied toward any inflatable rental with Bounce Orlando within one year of your original party date! If you have already paid for your rental in full, we will either reschedule your party rental, or refund you the difference between the rental price and the deposit. We believe you will find this to be one of the most fair cancellation policies anywhere!

PLEASE NOTE: Large events are subject to exemption from our raincheck and cancellation policies at management's discretion. Customers whose events are subject to these exceptions will be notified prior to deposit payment.

What if we anticipate rain or bad weather?

Some things are out of our control. The weather is one of them. If extreme weather is in the forecast, we will assess the situation early in the morning on the day of your party. If the conditions are deemed unsafe for operation for the duration of the day, we will contact you to either reschedule (our preference) or notify you of a management cancellation. In the event of a management cancellation, you will be refunded in full--deposit included. If there is a possibility of a passing shower or the typical afternoon FL rain, we encourage you to keep the reservation, as rain will not hurt the inflatable, and the children can resume bouncing after the rain subsides and the inflatable is dried with a bath towel. In the event of wind gusts exceeding 20 mph, we ask that you power down the inflatable and wait for the weather to pass. If there is a good possibility that it will rain during your entire party time, and you are uncertain as to what to do - please call us to discuss. We are not weather experts, but can work with you to make the best decision. With Bounce Orlando's concurrence, if the weather is questionable and you decide to keep your reservation, once the delivery crew has setup the inflatable at your party location, even if it rains during your party, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund.

Do you bring extension cords?

Yes, Bounce Orlando brings 75 ft of industrial extension cord to accommodate your preferred setup location and the best outlet to use. If you anticipate needing to locate the bounce house more than 75 ft from the electrical outlet, you will need to use a generator. These are also available for rent from Bounce Orlando.

Can I have my party at a park?

Yes, we have a great relationship with local park departments in Central Florida. We meet or exceed all insurance requirements for Orange Co, Orlando, Winter Park, Maitland, and many other municipalities around the area. There may be an extra charge for having your party at a park, due to insurance requirements and time constraints associated with parties in parks.

Am I expected to tip the delivery people?

Our delivery team goes out of their way to make sure you have a great rental experience! As such, you may desire to give them a tip for their great service. This is greatly appreciated by our crew, as most are either students putting themselves through college, or dads trying to earn extra money on the weekend to provide for their family. However, please know that tips are not expected, so do not feel uncomfortable if you do not feel inclined to tip for whatever reason.
